Karen Hogg from the University of York Biological Technology Facility describes the diverse applications of flow cytometry that her team executes on behalf of the university’s researchers. Flow cytometry has moved beyond traditional blood cell immunophenotyping. This presentation at CYTO 2016 features work done with the CytoFLEX flow cytometer to understand cell heterogeneity and behavior on samples as diverse as bacteria, yeast, pollen and plant cells.
