Mesenchymal Stem Cell (MSCs) are considered as potent cellular mediators of immunosuppression and tissue remodeling. Unlike other cellular interventions, MSCs can be applied in an allogeneic mode, making them a potent candidate for the development of immunosuppressive cellular products.
While MSCs show negative staining for CD45, CD31, CD14 and CD19, positive staining is observed for CD73 and CD90. Expression of CD34, CD105 and CD146 varies depending on the source materials and the stage of MSC differentiation.
